GIVING

St Mary’s Church has had a special place in the lives of those who live and work in Twickenham for generations.

We now face an unprecedented challenge. For over a year, the church building was only open in very restricted circumstances because of the pandemic.

​

We have been reaching out and supporting our community in other ways, especially online. But we lost significant income from collections at Services and from hiring out the church and hall buildings for events.

This missing income would have helped pay for:

• the work of our clergy and the wider church in London

• the maintenance of our unique church building at the heart of Twickenham

• our support to charities locally, nationally and overseas

If you can help us with a financial donation, please respond as generously as you can, so we in turn can continue to offer Christ's love to our community in these difficult times, as those before us have done down the centuries.

Gift Aiding donations allows St Mary's to increase what you give to St Mary's by 25p for every £1 you donate. So we are always appreciative of having current Gift Aid declarations in place. So if you are a new Giver or a regular Giver who has not completed and sent us a form recently, please download the form below, complete it, and email or post it back to us.  Each year we make a claim to HMRC for the owed Gift Aid component based on the declarations we have.

Since 2019 it has been possible to regularly give to St Mary's directly by signing up to the Parish Giving Scheme run by the diocese. They look after the Gift Aid on our behalf, passing your donations and the Gift Aid component on to us (so simplifying things for us). To join the Scheme, follow this link, or phone them on 0333 002 1271 (option 1) during office hours and quote our bespoke parish code: 230623218 and have your bank details to hand. Please, when talking to them do not indicate you wish to be anonymous and in addition advise our Treasurer of your actions using the link above.  We will then have a record enabling us to reconcile your donations with our statement.
