Christopher Herrick - Organ Recital

St Mary's is delighted to welcome back Christopher Herrick to play our Harrison & Harrison organ in the gallery - it's clearly visible from the opposite side of the church downstairs or from the opposite gallery.

His progamme features works by Guilmant, Mendelssohn’ and Nielsen, before two pieces by Bach including his ever-popular Toccata & Fugue in D minor,  and he concludes with Elgar’s rousing Pomp & Circumstance No. 1. 

Guilmant – March on Handel’s ‘Lift up your heads’

Mendelssohn – 5th Sonata

Nielsen – Suite of Six Small Preludes

Bach – ‘Allein Gott’, Prelude & Fugue in A minor; Toccata & Fugue in D minor

Elgar – Pomp & Circumstance March No. 1
