A celebration concert to mark the tercentenary of Alexander Pope's arrival in Twickenham in Spring 1719 – and to raise funds for the Pope's Grotto Preservation Trust.
The Petersham Consort will perform several pieces from Pope's friends and contemporaries, including Handel, Bononcini and Purcell.
The choir of Radnor House School, within whose grounds the grotto can be found, will also perform a short programme of music from the same period.
Tickets £10.00 each (children under 12 free) and available from PGPT together with full details from www.popesgrotto.org.uk
All proceeds will go to the restoration of the grotto.
