Last weekend, some of the members of our congregation went on a pilgrimage to the shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham in Norfolk. It was a great time of togetherness, quietness, worship, walking and eating! This was the eighth time in recent years members of the parish have been and we have enjoyed meeting Christians of all ages and from all over the country. This year we were particularly blessed with bright sunshine all weekend. Next year's pilgrimage is from the 3rd to 5th of October.
The Harvest Thanksgiving Service was the first service taken by Dr Rev'd Piotr amidst beautiful floral arrangements. Many generous gifts were donated to the harvest collection and delivered to the Food Bank in Richmond. Further donations are still welcome and can be left at the back of the church.
On Sunday 8 September we celebrated our Patronal Festival and also the licensing of our new Assistant Priest, Dr Rev'd Piotr Ashwin-Siejkowski, by the Archdeacon of Middlesex, the Venerable Stephan Welch, who spoke warmly about St Mary's and what we are seeking to do as a parish.
